Disney teases future of ‘Hawkeye’ and ‘Moon Knight’ series

With the choices of their Emmy nominations, Disney and Marvel Studios leave clues as to what fans no should expect from the future of the series Archer hawk and moon knight. In addition to the two MCU productions, Loki was also chosen to compete, but the categories in which they are being entered say a lot.

According to the Variety, Loki will be entered in the ‘Drama’ category, reserved for series in progress. As we know, the second season of the show starring Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino and Owen Wilson won confirmation of continuation in its season finaletherefore it is no longer considered a miniseries.

On the other hand, productions Archer hawk and moon knight were submitted in the “limited series” category, which indicates that Marvel Studios has no plans for a second season for any of them.

However, as fans well know, the Marvel Cinematic Universe works differently from traditional franchises. Even though some shows end with just one season, it’s always unlikely that characters won’t reappear. A good example is WandaVisionwhich was limited to one season, but your story is far from overas already reinforced Kevin Feige.

Archer hawk introduced Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who certainly has a future in the MCU, possibly as one of the members of the Young Avengers. Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) has also not confirmed his retirement, as many were betting before the series premiere.

With Moon Knight, it’s still too early to tell. Oscar Isaac recently said that chose not to sign a long-term contract with Marvel Studios. However, he reinforced that the character’s return will depend on the public’s acceptance, which, at this point, can already be considered as great.

“Sand there’s some kind of future, I think it just depends if people like it, if people want to see more and if we find a story worth telling“, he said.

The Emmy nominations will be announced on July 12, and Disney hopes to repeat the success of the WandaVisionwhat awarded the first Emmy to Marvel StudiosJessica Jones won the trophy before, but it was produced by Marvel Television. WandaVision received 23 nominations and won three awards: Best Sci-Fi or Fantasy Costume, Best Production Design and Best Original Song, with “Agatha All Along”.
