Paul Bettany is a mystery about the return of the Vision in ‘Doctor Strange 2’

If half of the cameos rumors in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness if confirmed, we will already have a film equivalent to Spider-Man: No Return Home in terms of a star-studded cast. Now it was Paul Bettany’s turn, the Vision of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to leave up the possibility of appearing in Benedict Cumberbatch’s sorcerer sequel.

Vision and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) Enter the MCU in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Since then, a love story has developed between the two characters, which seemed to have come to a tragic end with Vision’s death in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) by the hands of Thanos. However, Vision would mysteriously return in the series. WandaVisionwhere it was revealed that this version was an illusion brought to life by Wanda’s previously untapped power.

The series also featured White Vision, reanimated in his original body, and before Wanda’s Color Vision dissolved in front of him, he returned his memories to his reanimated body during a battle between the two versions in the eighth episode.

with Wanda and your children returning in Doctor Strange 2, the suspicion naturally arose that Paul Bettany would also be back as the Vision. In a recent participation in The Late Show with Stephen Colbertasked the actor if he would appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessbut Bettany was evasive, replying:

“This is a really great question. And again, I said I was going to be completely honest with you. You’re asking if I’m in… Am I in Doctor Strange 2? Yes. Not. Yes. Not. Yes. Not. I don’t know. I’m? What do you think?” At this point, Bettany directed the question to Claire Foy, her co-star on the series. A Very British Scandalwho was together with him, and she replied: “My instinct says yes“.

“I can neither confirm nor deny the rumors that I am in the aforementioned Doctor Strange 2”, concluded Bettany.

What did Paul Bettany say before?

Last year, Paul Bettany revealed that he no longer had a contract with Marvel. A few months later, said he was looking forward to his character’s returnand commented on the rumors of his return: “There are rumors about it. I don’t want to spoil anything yet. I have ideas about what would be great to do with Visão Branco, as if it were a fresh start. We’ll see”.

Some theories point to the Vision return in Armor Warsbut Kevin Feige has yet to reveal if we’ll see Bettany again in the MCU.

WandaVision is only available on Disney+. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in Brazilian cinemas on May 5, with preview sessions the night before.
