Pedro Pascal, who will star in the series adaptation of the game The Last of Uscompared future production with The Mandalorian. Now, in a recent interview with QAPascal shared some thoughts on the long-awaited adaptation of The Last of Us. The star revealed that the HBO series shares an important similarity with The Mandalorianwhich stems from the visions of the creators behind each of them.
“There’s a very, very creative way to honor what’s important and also preserve what’s iconic to the video game experience, and also [incluir] things you wouldn’t necessarily expect”, he explained about the TV version of the famous game. “And then the directions you’d expect it to go, and maybe not…they’re doing some really smart stuff, is all I can say. It’s similar to the way Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni treat The Mandalorian, and how [Mazin e Druckmann] are handling The Last of Us – it’s in good hands because they love it so much. Well, clearly Neil created the video game, but Craig loves him very much. So it really is made for the people who love it. And there’s a very intense narrative for people who might be less familiar”.
In the same interview, Pascal also assured that the duo is working hard to preserve what is iconic about the game experience it was inspired by. This is great news for fans of both franchises, who have been eagerly awaiting the show’s release on HBO.
